PHOTO ESSAY - SYMPHONY OF SOIL (2023)

Lindsay Klaunig, a self-taught seed farmer, defies the roots of convention in Southeast Ohio's soil. While her family tilled the academic fields, she chose the untamed path of agriculture as her life’s vocation, cultivating wisdom from the very roots she planted. In the symphony of familial ties, Klaunig orchestrated her own melody. Despite the shared harvest of parenthood, she keeps the ties to the father of her child loose, a unique domestic partnership blossoming amidst the uneven 82 hectares of pasture they nurture, together and independently. Her 6-year journey into running Trouvaille Farm has its ups and downs, but she persevered through the challenges while balancing her role as a supportive mother.
